Support Your New Neighbor

Join us in fostering a welcoming environment for new community members and helping them seamlessly integrate into our nationwide network. Engage in Language Support

Language Link Program: No prior experience is required to participate in our Language Link program. This in-home English tutoring course pairs volunteers with homebound clients, including the elderly or mothers with small children. After receiving training, you'll guide clients through an engaging curriculum for two hours a week over eight weeks. By doing this, you'll empower them to tackle basic tasks like shopping and banking while potentially becoming their first American friend.

Support New American Families

Donation Drive Initiatives: When you contribute new or used goods through your school, employer, church, or social group, you directly impact the lives of New American families. Coordinating a drive with us efficiently meets our clients' immediate needs. Sample donation items include backpacks with school supplies, toiletries, and kitchen items.

Assist in Resettlement

Family Apartments Setup: We're actively seeking generous community members to join our resettlement team, aiding in preparing apartments for newly arrived families. While our movers handle the heavy lifting, your assistance to our case manager ensures these new apartments become comfortable, safe homes for our clients.

Share Professional Expertise

Pro Bono Professional Support: Do you possess unique professional skills? Your expertise can make a monumental difference in the lives of our clients. We're seeking pro bono lawyers, accountants, architects, teachers, builders, interior designers, human resources professionals, and other experts. Unsure if your skills will be helpful? Just ask our team!

Contribute to Organizational Projects

Administrative Project Assistance: Known for your organizational skills? Your attention to detail and organizational abilities can greatly benefit us. Consider putting your talents to work by helping with events, organizing our donations closet, or researching ongoing projects. Long-term and short-term projects are regularly available.

Enhance Special Events

Event Support: At BAB Foundation, there's always something happening. Sometimes, we need an extra pair of hands or someone to greet guests. The best part? You don't need a full-time commitment; your desire to help during your spare hours is enough. Events needing assistance include Model UN, Community World Trivia, or any of our fundraisers.

Extend Warm Hospitality

International Visitor Welcoming: BAB Foundation regularly welcomes delegations from around the world, eager to study American problem-solving approaches and bring best practices back to their home countries. You can contribute by hosting international visitors at your home or inviting them for supper. Either way, by showcasing your hospitality, you'll represent the welcoming spirit of our community, make lasting memories, and potentially form new friendships along the way!
